Constellations Continued..

So like I said in my last post, I very much enjoyed being part of and taking photographs at Constellations Festival held at Leeds Uni. After sorting through the 1476 photographs taken that day I am really rather proud with the results. The day consisted of running back and fourth between three stages the Refectory, Stylus and Mine. All three stages hosted some great bands. Some of these I had previously heard and some of which I had not. Although running between these three rooms became quiet tiring after a while, it was well worth it. Les Savy Fav were as energetic as ever with Tim Harrington getting in with the crowd as often as he could. I really enjoyed Sky Larkin, Local Natives and Liars too.

Here are some of my results from that night ...

Whats in store?

I haven't wrote anything for ages and thats mainly because I've not had very much to say. I've moved away for home ( well kind of ) and started on what I hope to be a successful year.

Recently I have;

Built a chair.
Made a short film about a bridge.
Visited Liverpool.
Done the conga in the street.
Danced with a busker.
Taken many photos.
Attended many gigs.
Met many new people.
Drank.
Danced.
Researched
and
Thought a lot about what exactly I want to get out of this year.

Some shots I'm rather proud of;

This year I want to impress myself and prove that I can do anything I put my mind too.

Arts Fair...

Last weekend I hosted a small Arts fair (yep thats right it happened) at BarUp, Halifax. It was the first time I had done anything like this and for a first attempt I thought it went rather well. The weather was a bit gloomy, (but this didn't damped our spirits), Julie was running..well lets say a little late haha and my specially prepared playlist featuring the likes of Billie Holiday, Franks Sinatra, Ray Charles, Wild Beasts and Mumford and Sons was sadly abandoned due to technical confusion. But on the whole the day was a success.
A big thanks you to everyone who was involved and who came along.
Here are a few images from the day and
links for those of you who would
like to see more.....

A world of possibilities.

Its been a little while since i last posted,
so i've taken this opportunity to update you with my goings on.
I have been rather busy over the last few days researching and enquiring about everything vintage and hand made. I am happy to announce that I will be putting on my first ever vintage/craft fair. This is both an exciting and slightly nerve racking experience. I have never done anything like this before. I still have all the fine details to go over and people to confirm for stalls, but all in all its looking like its defiantly going ahead. Stalls will hopefully include Clothing, Hand Made Jewellery, Vinyl's, Cushions and Cupcakes. Posters are being created and emails are flying about the cyber world,
so stay tuned for more info.
Here are some images that have inspired me..

Lets go camping.

Today I've had the urge to get away, away into the wilderness, amongst the trees and explore. So i've come to the conclusion that its time to bury myself deep in books, drawings, paintings and get lost. As I'm starting uni in september i think this is the perfect time to take a little trip.

I think this sums it up beautifully.
